Chef Pete Cervoni

Chef Pete Cervoni is a 40-year veteran of the foodservice industry and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. After his paradigmatic shift to become Vegan over 27 years ago, he became a pioneer in the realm of plant-based, health-supportive cuisine. In addition to working at the helm of many of NYC’s Vegan restaurants such as Angelica Kitchen, Quintessence and Organic Avenue, Pete has also worked here and abroad behind the scenes of many omnivore restaurants to create Vegan-specific dishes for their menus.

He has formulated many proprietary recipes for companies such as Organic Avenue and Beyond Organics. He has worked side-by-side with many luminaries in the plant-based world and his recipes have been published in books as well as several publications, chief among them: Vegetarian Times and Kris Carr’s “Crazy, Sexy, Kitchen”. Pete has spent the last 7 years in the Consumer Packaged Goods space supporting the culinary programs of companies like Abbot’s Butcher, Numu, Alpha Foods, Good Catch and Wicked Kitchen, the latter two of which he was the Corporate Chef.
